Badenoch denies 'British Iron Dome' plan after Tories use phrase in release

UK Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch has denied that her proposed 'Britannia Shield' air defence system is comparable to Israel's Iron Dome, despite the phrase appearing in her own press release and a newspaper article. The denial follows internal and external criticism over the comparison, which experts note is technically inaccurate given Iron Dome's role against short-range rockets. This is a domestic political controversy over framing and policy credibility, with no immediate market impact.
