Türkiye unveils 198-satellite constellation, Somali spaceport build at IAC summit

Turkish aerospace officials detailed a 198-satellite mega-constellation and ongoing construction of an equatorial launch site in Somalia at the IAC summit in Antalya, signaling a push for space autonomy. The program, if realized, would give Türkiye independent satellite communications and launch capability, reducing reliance on foreign providers. Construction status and timeline remain partially confirmed, with no independent verification of the Somali site's progress.
