US relocates MQ-9 Reaper drones from Africa to Colombia, Ecuador for counter-narcotics ops

The US is repositioning MQ-9 Reaper drones from Africa to Colombia and Ecuador to support anti-drug and anti-terrorism operations in South America. This marks a shift in US force posture, reducing drone presence in Africa while increasing surveillance and strike capability in the Andean region. The move signals heightened US focus on narcotics trafficking and related security threats in the region, though the exact number of drones and timeline remain unspecified.
