Russia strikes Kyiv, Kharkiv with missiles; air alert delayed, no launch data

On October 12 evening, Russian forces struck Kyiv with 6 ballistic missiles and Kharkiv with 9 S-8000 'Bandrol' munitions. The air alert was issued with a delay, and the Presidential Service stated there was no information about the launches beforehand. This marks a continued pattern of Russian strikes on Ukrainian cities, but the delayed alert and lack of launch data represent a notable intelligence failure, increasing civilian risk.
