Brazil Supreme Court extends BRB contract with Bahia judiciary to prevent financial instability

The Supreme Federal Court (STF) has granted a 90-day extension to the contract between Banco de Brasília (BRB) and the Bahia Court of Justice (TJ-BA), maintaining a monthly inflow of R$ 394 million. Justice Luiz Fux justified the ruling by citing potential systemic risks to the national financial system if the payment flow were abruptly interrupted.
