Modi, Trudeau discuss bilateral ties in first call since 2023 rupture

Indian PM Modi and Canadian PM Trudeau held a call to discuss bilateral ties and cooperation, marking a notable thaw after the 2023 diplomatic rupture over the Nijjar killing. The call signals a potential de-escalation in tensions, though concrete outcomes remain unclear. This matters as both countries seek to stabilize relations amid ongoing investigations and trade discussions.
