Ecuador military arrests suspected Los Águilas member with weapons, drugs, police uniforms

Ecuadorian military captured a suspected member of the Los Águilas criminal group in Paraíso de la Flor, northwest Guayaquil, seizing weapons, drugs, and clothing resembling police uniforms. The arrest underscores ongoing gang-related violence and the group's capacity to impersonate security forces, a tactic that raises concerns about public safety and state control in the region.
