Ukraine to field small missiles, automated turrets against Russian jet drones by late October

Zelensky announced Ukraine will deploy domestically produced small missiles and expand automated .50-caliber turrets by late October to counter Russian jet-powered strike drones. The announcement came alongside a bilateral counter-drone agreement with Germany, whose delegation visited Kyiv despite ongoing attacks. This signals a shift toward cost-effective, scalable counter-drone systems as Russia intensifies drone warfare.
