Bandits kill five, abduct 18 in Niger State communities

Suspected bandits attacked farming communities in Niger State, killing five farmers, abducting 18 people, and burning houses and shops. The incident continues a pattern of insecurity in Nigeria's northwest region, with no group claiming responsibility. It underscores the persistent threat to rural livelihoods and the state's limited capacity to protect civilians.
