Pentagon to Broadcast Fort Hood Shooter Execution Live; First Firing Squad Since 1945

The Pentagon announced the live broadcast of the military execution of the former army psychiatrist convicted in the 2009 Fort Hood shooting. This marks the first use of a firing squad in the U.S. since 1945, a significant departure from standard execution methods. The decision raises legal and ethical questions, and the execution date remains unconfirmed.
