Fuel spill at Caleta Tortel power plant contaminates Baker River tributary

Approximately 4,000 liters of fuel leaked from the Caleta Tortel Municipal Power Plant in Chile, with reports confirming contamination of a stream feeding into the Baker River. The Investigative Brigade for Crimes Against the Environment (PDI) is currently assessing the extent of the ecological impact and the cause of the containment failure.
