Brazil allocates R$ 1.3 billion to mitigate El Niño impacts and bolster grain reserves

The Brazilian government has authorized R$ 1.335 billion in funding to address climate-related agricultural risks, specifically targeting potential crop failures caused by El Niño. The initiative includes the strategic acquisition of 301,000 tons of rice and 180,000 tons of corn to stabilize domestic supply and mitigate food inflation risks.
