Norwegian parties agree to remove CO2 tax on fishing fuel

Four Norwegian parties have agreed to remove the CO2 tax on fuel for fishing vessels starting 1 January, ahead of the 2027 budget presentation. The Centre Party sought immediate removal, while the Conservative Party, presenting the proposal, did not. The tax, introduced in 2020, amounts to about half a billion kroner annually.
