FAO provides equipment to Panama to combat New World screwworm outbreak

The UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has supplied Panama's Ministry of Agricultural Development (MIDA) with surveillance and educational resources to address a screwworm infestation. This intervention aims to bolster epidemiological monitoring and producer training to contain the spread of the parasite, though the current scale of the outbreak remains under assessment.
