High prevalence of depressive symptoms among women on maternity leave in Slovakia

Psychological analysis indicates that up to 38 percent of women on maternity leave experience depressive symptoms, often masked by high-functioning behavior. The findings highlight a significant mental health burden comparable to social isolation observed in elderly populations.
