Cuban rafters arrive in Cancún; more boats abandoned off Yucatán

Eleven Cuban migrants arrived in Cancún this month in two boats, according to the head of the Regional Captaincy of Puerto Juárez, who also confirmed the abandonment of other rafts in the region. The event reflects continued irregular migration from Cuba to Mexico's Yucatán coast, though the scale is modest. The abandonment of rafts suggests possible distress or interception, but details remain unclear.
