Nordic Leaders Broker Russia-Ukraine-US Diplomatic Channel

Finnish and Norwegian leaders have established a direct diplomatic channel with Russian President Putin, coordinating with Ukraine and the US, to discuss limiting energy infrastructure strikes and preparing for trilateral Russia-Ukraine-US negotiations in Abu Dhabi. While the Kremlin confirms discussions on Ukraine settlement and resumption of trilateral talks, concrete terms and Russia's commitment to a ceasefire remain unclear. This marks a notable shift in diplomatic engagement, with Nordic states acting as intermediaries.
