Illinois teen charged with plotting mass shooting at Hindu temple; police detail pre-arrest movements

A 19-year-old, Alexandros Paporakis, was arrested after a tip led police to uncover an alleged plot to attack the Sri Venkateswara Swami (Balaji) Temple in suburban Chicago. Authorities confirmed he entered the temple car park hours before his arrest, indicating pre-operational surveillance. The incident underscores domestic terrorism threats against religious sites in the U.S., though the suspect's motive remains under investigation.
