Ecuador's National Electoral Council upholds disqualification of three Citizen Participation councilors

The National Electoral Council (CNE) has ratified its decision to bar three incumbent councilors from seeking reelection to the Council for Citizen Participation and Social Control. The disqualified candidates retain the right to appeal the ruling at the Contentious Electoral Tribunal (TCE) ahead of the November 29 elections.
