First TCN transit flight from US to Jamaica imminent under migration pact

Jamaica's Ministry of National Security and Peace announced the first flight carrying third-country nationals under a transit agreement with the US will arrive shortly, with the IOM set to provide support services. The arrangement is framed as a transit mechanism, but details on the number of migrants, their origin, and duration of stay remain unclear. This marks the operational start of a bilateral migration deal that could set a precedent for regional migration management.
