UNHCR official sees reconstruction determination in quake-hit Venezuela, long road ahead

UNHCR official Salih visited La Guaira, the Venezuelan state most affected by the June 24 earthquakes (7.2 and 7.5 magnitude), and met with Governor José Alejandro Terán. The visit signals ongoing international engagement in recovery efforts, but the scale of destruction suggests a protracted reconstruction process. The claim of determination is based on official statements, with no independent verification of progress.
