First scientific record of Sylvilagus parentum cottontail rabbit confirmed in Guyana

Researchers and Indigenous community members have documented the presence of the Sylvilagus parentum rabbit in Guyana, marking the first scientific record of the species in the country. This discovery extends the known range of the species, which was previously only confirmed in western Suriname over four decades ago.
