Germany arrests three suspected EI-linked plotters in NRW; two released

German police arrested three men in Unna and Hagen suspected of planning an EI-linked attack, after months of surveillance by North Rhine-Westphalia security services. Two were released on Friday, indicating the threat level may have been lower than initially assessed. The arrests highlight ongoing jihadist activity in Germany, though the immediate risk appears contained.
