Brazil enacts Mercosur e-commerce and services trade protocols

President Lula has formally enacted the 2021 Mercosur E-Commerce Agreement and the Amendment to the Montevideo Protocol on Trade in Services. The decrees mandate that any future adjustments imposing financial burdens on the national treasury require prior approval from the National Congress.
