WhatsApp has introduced support for multiple passkeys and strengthened two-step verification (2SV) protocols to improve user account security. Additionally, the platform is implementing enhanced caller identification for Android users to display country-of-origin data for unknown numbers, aiming to mitigate spam and social engineering risks.
