Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights challenges Maciej Berek's Constitutional Tribunal candidacy

The Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights (HFHR) has formally requested the withdrawal of Maciej Berek's candidacy for the Constitutional Tribunal, citing concerns over his lack of political neutrality. Berek, currently a key aide to Prime Minister Donald Tusk, is viewed by the NGO as too closely aligned with the executive branch to serve as an impartial judge.
