Brazil: Nikolas Ferreira re-elected with record 3.1M votes, most-voted federal deputy in history

In Brazil's 2026 general elections, federal deputy Nikolas Ferreira (PL) won re-election in Minas Gerais with 3.1 million votes, the highest tally ever for a federal deputy nationwide. The result underscores the strength of conservative politics in Brazil's largest electorate, though it is a single-candidate outcome within a broader election still being counted.
