Russian ballistic missiles strike Kyiv after Zelensky warns of mass attack

Russian forces have initiated a new wave of ballistic missile strikes on Kyiv, following Ukrainian intelligence warnings of impending attacks on energy infrastructure, Dnipro River bridges, and civilian sites. This confirms a pattern of Russian winter strikes aimed at degrading Ukraine's resilience, with President Zelensky actively seeking urgent international aid for grid repair and enhanced air defenses. The explicit mention of bridges suggests a potential escalation to sever logistics, though specific targeting of bridges in the recent Kyiv strikes is unconfirmed.
