Costa Rica Official Faces Scrutiny Over Photo with DEA-Wanted Drug Suspect

Guobin Tam Zhang, arrested Friday for alleged ties to Mexican and Colombian drug cartels, was photographed eight months ago at a restricted election-results reception with Laura Fernández, a Costa Rican official. Pilar Cisneros confirms the photo's authenticity but denies any link, leaving the nature of the connection unclear. The incident raises questions about official conduct and potential cartel influence in Costa Rican politics.
