Poland's renewed KRS resumes judicial nominations, seeks return to European network

Poland's reformed National Council of the Judiciary (KRS) has begun nominating judges to higher courts, starting with a vacancy in Szczecin, after a 100-day hiatus since its reconstitution by the Sejm. The body is also initiating talks to rejoin the European Network of Councils for the Judiciary, from which the previous PiS-dominated KRS was expelled.
